Letter from the Chairman

Welcome to 2009!  This year is shaping up to be a challenging year, but a challenge can only lead to better opportunities.  We can’t sit back and wait for things to happen, we must make things happen in this new year.  Abraham Lincoln once said, “Good things come to those that wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.”  We must meet these challenges head-on and not let negativity bring us down.

 I am constantly challenging my employees to keep their heads up and look ahead.  A positive approach to any situation will only make the outcome better.  So in this new year keep looking ahead and strive to make the world around you a better place.  A positive attitude can make leaders out of us all.  Leadership is the key to any organization and a strong, united Chamber can accomplish more for our community.

 In the months ahead please get involved with your Chamber.  We have a great leadership team with Sydney, Yvonne, the Board of Directors, and the Ambassadors.  Watch for the Ribbon Cuttings, Business After Hours, and other events this year and get involved in your community.  Your attendance and support for your fellow businesses can only strengthen our ties together.

 It is up to US to make 2009 a great year.  Get involved and get results!  I look forward to serving with you this year.
